Also, think of someone who has nothing to eat when you waste food and throw it away. This quote may sound like that cliche saying your mother would tell you when you were young in order to get you to eat your vegetables, but there’s a world of truth behind it. Not only in places in Africa, but people go hungry in places all over the world, whether the country is a developed one, or not.

Another thing to think about, but I’m not trying to influence anyone to become vegetarian (I’m not one myself), is that when you eat meat, remember that something died in order for you to eat and live. Don’t waste it. The truth is, many of us take having food for granted.

I’ve always loved this song for the lyrics, Bette’s voice, the music, and the feeling behind it. The lyrics to the song is one good quote after another, each true. :)
